One of the objectives of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center’s $52 Million Parking & Traffic related projects was to make Ginger Lane the primary entry to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center campus for staff parking and deliveries to the Receiving & Support Center as well as to eliminate parking deficiencies and provide space for future growth. The Ginger Lane Extension and the new surface McKinnon Parking Lot were part of the these parking and traffic updates.
Transmetrics’ tasks included development of grading, drainage, and surface improvement plans; existing utilities relocation, new utility design including implementation of bio-swales into the new drainage system; and coordination of input from multiple disciplines, agencies, and consultants.
