Description:

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority decided to extend the Caltrain commuter service from San Jose to Gilroy. Currently, portions of the route are served through a single track and portions are double tracked. To more efficiently provide service to Gilroy the entire route need to be double tracked. Several stations are planned but the key station will be at Bailey Ave. This station will service the Coyote Valley where much of Silicon Valley’s growth will take place.

Project Responsibilities:

Responsible for the right-of-way acquisition issues along the corridor
Responsible for the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E’s) including drainage, and utility relocation plan.
Coordinate with utility companies to arrange fast-track relocation of their utilities.
Provided design support services during construction
